9 DEKALB

Brooklyn, NY

Joining the historic landmarked Brooklyn Dime Savings Bank, the new residential tower at 9 DeKalb rises 1,066 feet making it the tallest in Brooklyn.

The facade of 9 DeKalb Avenue is a blend of historic and modern elements, featuring the preserved white marble and granite base of the 1908 Dime Savings Bank, with a spiraling, dark-tinted glass and bronze, copper, and steel supertall tower rising behind it.

With its interlocking hexagonal design and rich materiality of bronze and glass, the tower repeats features and patterns of the historic site into a cinematic expression of the rich past and future of Brooklyn.
